Hello! I'm Evan Woodard—historian, explorer, and the voice behind the Salvage Arc Instagram account.

My journey began during the challenging times of the pandemic when I took a shovel into my hands, not knowing that I was about to unearth a deep connection to Baltimore's hidden histories. With each dig into our city's old privies, I brought to light not just artifacts but the vibrant stories of those who walked these streets long before us. Their tales, lost to time but rediscovered through our efforts, deserve to be celebrated and remembered.

Through my research and explorations, I have lovingly restored hundreds of historical items, which have captured the imaginations of people across Baltimore in various pop-up museums. These glimpses into our past have not only educated but also inspired many.

Driven by a deep passion to keep this spirit of discovery alive, I founded the Salvage Arc Foundation in 2024, a dedicated 501(c)(3) organization. Our goal is ambitious yet profound: to build out our space and establish a museum and community center in the historic heart of Fells Point. This center will not only display our fascinating finds but will also serve as a vibrant hub for learning and connection, offering hands-on experiences in historical research for both children and adults.

Your support can help make this vision a reality. Together, we can create a place where history is not just observed, but experienced—a beacon of learning and inspiration in Baltimore. Join us in preserving and celebrating the rich tapestry of our city’s past. Your donation to the Salvage Arc Foundation will help illuminate history for generations to come. Thank you for being part of this exciting journey.
